Dr Sandeep Srivastava

Dr. Sandeep passed the MBBS examination in August 2001 with 14 gold medals in all and consequent to completion of his internship in October 2002, He joined LNM Railway Hospital, NE Railway, Gorakhpur as a postgraduate DNB trainee in General surgery.
He got my first chance to work in the field of Neurosurgery as a Senior Resident in the Department of Neurosurgery, Lok Nayak Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi from November 2006 to March 2007. Here He was exposed for the first time to the nuances and complexities of neurosurgery and developed quite a liking for it. Subsequently, He was the Senior Resident at MM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Ambala from March 2007 to May 2009. Thence, served as the Registrar in the Department of Neurosurgery, Sahara Hospital, Lucknow from June 2009 to October 2010 where He assisted my seniors his both routine and emergency procedures and surgeries.
Later, He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery at Miri Piri Institute of Medical Sciences, Kurukshetra from November 2010 to January 2014. After that, made a firm decision to pursue Neurosurgery as my chosen specialty and joined Medanta, the Medicity, Gurgaon as a DNB (Neurosurgery) trainee in January 2014 where he was fortunate to work with the best brains in the field along with exposure to cutting-edge technology. He cleared the Diplomate of National Board in Neurosurgery in 2017 (Exit Examination of December 2016) and then joined Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon in Feb 2017 as an Associate Consultant in the Department of Neurosurgery. He now works as a Consultant in the Department of Neurosurgery with a special interest in Neuromodulation.
He has developed a deep interest in Stereotactic, Functional Neurosurgery and Neuromodulation. And also undergone an advanced fellowship for that at the Department of Neurosurgery, the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) under esteemed Dr (Prof) Konstantin Slavin in October-November 2018. He is interested in pursuing it very intently in the future and already making sincere efforts in that direction. Deep Brain Stimulation, Epilepsy Surgery, Intrathecal pumps, and Stereotactic Radiosurgery are being regularly done at our institution. He has personally done 2 cases of Spinal Cord Stimulation independently.
