Dr. Asfar Ali graduated from the prestigious Grant Medical College – Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Bombay, one of top colleges of India. He completed his Masters in General Surgery along and Senior Residency in General & Paediatric Surgery from B.J. Medical College – Sassoon Hospital, Pune, the largest tertiary care hospital in Western Maharashtra. Dr Ali obtained the much coveted Membership of Royal College of Surgeons of England and topped the All-India DNB Entrance test and got into Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi for Post-doctoral Fellowship in Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery. He then became an Associate, working for more than 4 years in Institute of Minimal Access Surgery, Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi. Dr Ali has several publications in Indexed Journals, and presented his original work in Bariatric and Laparoscopic Hernia surgery at European Association Congresses at Italy and Vienna. Dr Asfar Ali, with his keen academic interests, became one of the youngest National Faculty for Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery training at Ethicon Instt, New Delhi, and has been the co-ordinator for Felloship at IMAS, Sir Gangaram Hospital for over four years.
